This was a week chock full of walk/runs which are my least favorite workout so that was a bit rough. Julianne found a screaming deal on an aero pilates reformer (finding deals is one of her super powers) and so now our spare bedroom has a ton of boxes, my bike, my bike rack, and a pilates reformer, it’s getting truly ridiculous in there but it’s worth it. Here are the selfies (missing one for Open Water Swim, totally forgot to take my phone with me.)
- Bike
- Pilates – I have missed reformer work
- Walk/Run
- Strength
- Long walk/run – so long that I started at night and it was day when I finished
- Pilates again
- Yet another walk/run

You are such a genuis incorporating Pilates into your training. I’ve been a fat triathlete for 16 years (as an aside I would love to be a study subject to prove once and for all that exercise is great for health [not an obligation btw], but does NOTHING for weight loss) and never once thought of doing Pilates as a supplement. Rest assured I’m calling a studio today. After all this amazing experience and growth, with your background in fitness, dance and strength training and knowledge of health processes have you considered becoming a triathlon coach? I think you would be amazing at it.

Envy!!! I love Pilates training! Never occurred to me to get my own reformer!

I’m definitely loving it. I never thought it was possible because the standard reformers are around $4,000+ which is WAY out of my budget, but Julianne got this one for a couple hundred bucks. It’s not exactly what I would get in a 4k machine, but it’s good enough for what I need.

So can you tell that your strength training is affecting/improving your runs/swims/bikes?
